Air Conditioning

All of our aircon technicians are trained for the correct handling of R134a (the gas inside your aircon system)

Most of us are familiar with using air-con in our car on both hot and cold days, however are you aware that like other parts of your car, the air-conditioning system also needs regular attention to keep it  working efficiently. Over time air-con gas permeates from the air-con system, meaning that it may not work as well as it should. This is why car manufacturers recommend your Air-Con system is recharged with gas and lubricant every 2 years but is not part of routine vehicle servicing. During the hotter summer months motorists use the Air-Con system more; however your system is also useful in winter. Air-Con systems create dry warm air rather than the normal humid air from outside and this de-mists your car windscreen more quickly.

Other than regular air con servicing, if your system has stopped working then it is beneficial to deal with the issue ASAP. For example if gas has leaked due to a seal or there is stone damage to the condenser, the internals of the AC system is open to the atmosphere. An open system is able to take on moisture and is detrimental to all AC components leading to further costly repairs.
